Qualification & Education

Fiona is a registered member of the PSI (Psychological Society of Ireland) and is also an accredited psychotherapist (MIAHIP). She obtained her BA (Hons) in Psychology from UCD and her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (PsyD) from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She has been practicing for over fifteen years in a variety of outpatient settings, both in Ireland and the US, including Community Mental Health, Student Counselling and a specialised Children’s Hospital. Fiona also has years of experience working with an inpatient psychiatric population, most recently the Hampstead Clinic at Highfield Healthcare in Dublin where she specialised in working with complex cases including Personality Disorders.


Fiona has training and expertise in the full array of psychological assessments and in using a variety of treatment treatment approaches including Psychoanalyatic, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy; Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Trauma (EMDR) and Mindfulness. She works with diverse populations including adults, adolescents and children and adapts her approach to match each client, but always coming from a Humanistic orientation.

Prior to training as a Clinical Psychologist, Fiona worked for several years in areas of Marketing and Human Resources, in a number of International Corporations. She still provides consulting services to organisations in areas of leadership development, team-building, psychological assessments and employee engagement programmes.

When not working, she recharges her batteries by playing with her son, watching movies, laughing with friends and family, and travelling. She strives to maintain balance with the help of mindfulness practices (especially yoga), diet and exercise, and her appetite for laughter and connection.
